Well, if you want something that's better made then you have to spend the money. Some of the best 10/22 stuff around has KIDD stamped on it.

Sounds like some bullshit to me, no good reason at all... Really, it's the same aluminum and everything. The ID can't change, the OD can't change... there is no difference in quality. This one one thing I've never understood - aftermarket receivers. Now, for 10/22 Mag, makes perfect sense.

No it says Kidd / VQ so it must be better for some reason. The price tag says so

My 10/22 has a suppressor because it still says Ruger on it

Really? We are talking about receivers right? Its made to more stringent tolerances, guaranteed. I'm not telling anyone to buy it, but if you seriously don't believe in a, quality difference between anything ruger makes vs anything that a highly specialized company who makes their living selling some of the most accurate rimfires made then I won't bother trying to change your opinion.

I've learned quite a bit about guns over the last several years and I've learned what is worth the money and what isn't. What actually produces results and what doesn't. I've shot everything through the same hole with only a barrel change on several 10/22's so I'm not sold on the receiver. And when you tighten tolerances on a 22 you get a less reliable rifle. On a center fire that would make sense, on a dirty ass 22 rifle, that doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If you can get a sub 1/4" MOA on a factory receiver with a barrel change, why would you spend a bunch of money to an increase in jams because of a tighter tolerance? It seems to me like an excellent way to take unsuspecting peoples money. I do not see how you could get more accurate (or why you would want to) on a .22 rimfire. Where was that post with Alex's 10/22? That thing only had a barrel and it was shooting sub 1/2" MOA and we were just screwing around.

Please go tell the rimfire benchrest guys that they've wasted their money on all that kidd junk. With their stupid 36x scopes, 500$ rifle rests, etc. Don't pay any attention to their consistent sub .25 moa groups, because any asshole with a 200$ .22 and a 50$ leapers red dot can do it.

You sure are running your cocksucker about high end .22 gear when you can't crack 1 moa with your centerfire bolt gun with handloads.

Its like a guy with a 300hp car taking shit about lenco.

                          That's a factory 10/22 ruger with a barrel.

Nothing gets my jollies off more than destroying those guys that shoot stupid expensive rifles with my cheap pieces of shit. There is a lot of things that are simply out there to take your money. I honestly do not believe the receiver story. Triggers, barrels, etc.. those make sense.

And my leapers red dot was $34.99 actually. $50 is absurd... I would never pay that!

I understand why that stumpfucker bottlerocket is talking shit, but im surprised that you can't see the reasoning. At a certain level of performance, youre going to spend a lot to get the last notch of performance. Cars, guns, everything.

Do you think guys who spend 8$ a box on .22 ammo would spend another 200$ on their rifle to increase their scores by a few points?

Why are bolt actions generally more accurate than semi-autos?
