Wanting a Glock 26

Yep. 500 was about what I paid a few years ago new with my LE discount. Now that gen 4's are out, gen 3 26 will be around there new. I don't recall seeing a bunch of 26 or 27's at the gun shows recently. Goodluck tho. Love mine. Just with that made a single stack 9 or .40. The 36 is a single stack .45 but its 650+! Yikes!

I bought my gen 3 36 used at cabelas for $429 and it looked brand new, does not have the night sights though. I couldn't bring myself to pay the $679 they wanted for a new one. But that one has NS's.

step 2 = buy a 3.5lb connector, gives you about a 4lb trigger pull.
only mod needed for all glocks IMO

A few things to consider. Both guns you're looking at are fine. Best bet is to fiddle/feel them both and make a call on that.

However, regardless of which gun you buy - you need to spend a good amount on a holster. That holster will perform the following functions (and then some, but I'm mainly focusing on your concern of it "not having a safety")

1. Keeps a firm grip on the weapon so there is little to no chance it'll accidentally fall out.

2. Keep the trigger guarded and make accidental discharge, when drawing it difficult.

Below is the holster I use with a G19. I prefer kydex since they tend to be thinner, but these days I pocket carry another gun.



With that said, there is also a common argument about carrying a weapon that has a safety - with the safety engaged. I believe a fair amount of people do not carry with their safety on since it's in the ballpark mindset of "what is the point of carrying an unloaded weapon." ...just not quite as extreme.

Just somethings to consider. Personally, none of my guns that I carry have a true safety. However, I practice what I preach on holsters too. They have to meet those requirements before I buy them.

^The crossbreed holster I have for my HK P30 is a good example of this. It allows you to set the amount of grab it has on the gun to make it easier/harder to draw while keeping the trigger covered. My P30 has no safety aside from the SA/DA (long first trigger squeeze).

I don't have any Crossbreed products, but I've read great things about them as well. Leather right? Either way, several good holsters out there that lets you have your cake and eat it too.
