  • Tarus PT-145- Normal to knock a hole through the primer?

I found a similar pic online to what my pistol does to primers. Is this ok or do I need to fix something?

I would venture that that is not acceptable.

The one I used to have never did that.

Mostly on forums like this one, but I steal most of the gun porn I post from HK pro, the high road, etc.

Gun humor is funny albeit only to a very specific segment of the population, so when I get a chance to post it I jump on it.

Iv fired about 1500 rounds round through it and haven't had any ftf/ftl. I bought this one because it was cheap and it stays in my truck. Id much rather have an HK to trust. This gun hasnt let me down at the range but it is a gun that I wouldnt keep in my wifes car due to issues other people have had.

I had a PT-145 that did that but not as bad. "Primer wipe" seemed pretty common with those guns. The firing pin does not start retracting until after the barrel starts pivoting down.

i've got taurus 1911. i'm still happy with it and glad i bought it over the kimber eclipse i originally wanted which was only more than double the price.

but dont' let that fool you, i really wouldn't want much of anything else they make with exception of a few special revolvers, possibly their beretta 92 clone. taurus polymer guns are bad. very bad.

I actually don't remember too much bad stuff about the Taurus 92. All of factories and tooling were Beretta's, so that may actually be a decent firearm. I still wouldn't spend my money on one, but at least they're shiny.

I had a Taurus 24/7 Pro .45. Great gun, wouldn't bash on it at all. I sold it because I needed to fund my SBR project. Not all of them are trash.

I even had a PT140 Pro, didn't really like it because it would crack your wrist.

I have used and owned my 24/7 Pro .45 for over two years now and not one complaint...I guess they are hit an miss.

They are hit and miss for sure. Some report to be fine. I've seen a .45 blow up, and another occasionally fire. The issue with Taurus is they are not consistent.
