There's a 460 rowland kit for the XD .45.

Ultimately, on human sized game it all comes down to cumulative lead on target. If you don't believe me, then I'll let you shoot my .454, and you can try to put 6 rounds on a silhouette @ 10y in 5 seconds.

I almost bought a grizzly last gunshow. $1100 was just too much for a 1911 IMO, but looking around, that ios what a good 45 costs, more or less. I do still have the carbine, and I keep considering selling it and all my 45 stuff.
