I like the higher end NV scopes - this one just happens to tickle the geek side of me a bit more.

    I'll absolutely give ya A and B.

C - Personally Subjective - i've looked through the Pulsar and it was very clear and sharp.

D - yes it is, its designed to be. Granted you have to replace your day scope, but that's why I have more than one rifle.

Your opinion of it's clarity is relative to what you've looked through before. Either that video doesn't do it any justice whatsoever, or it's not even in the same ballpark. I have a feeling if you looked through a PVS-14 it would blow your mind.

As for the scope aspect. Think of it this way. It only works at night. It only works on that rifle, and it only works when you're holding your rifle to your face. The Mum-14 however can mount to all of your weapons with 1 snap, it will work with holographic, iron sights, all scopes, and it will mount on your head so you can use it for walking around.

I personally like using a head mount when walking through the brush at night, and when I need to shoot something, I hold my rifle up and shoot it, just like you would normally. You can't do any of that with a scope only.

Acutally the Digiscope works in the day just fine - same image, just not whited out.

Your other points are perfectly valid.

What pistol NV scopes are out there now? About 10 years ago I found one model, it was about $5k, so I passed. Is that still the case?

wow and i thought i was the only one with common sense.
you see a lot of contraptions out there regarding NV gear.
This was the only method that seemed to make any sense to me

Look at the elcan digital hunter scope. You can get both regular and NV models. Plus it will perform ballistic computations.
