I'm currently building an Ar 15 and going to get a dedicated .22 upper to go along with the other upper. I was wondering if any of you guys had any suggestions as to some of the brands. I'd like to find a decent kit so I can shoot the cheap rounds! Also will be my first build so all suggestions are appreciated!

I am fixing to buy the colt m4 .22 I have been doing allot of research and they seem like a good gun and I really like the full metal body over the poly ones.
these are from out of state so you save on Taxes and they ship free 2day air.

I too would have to recommend a dedicated 22. M&P 15-22, 10/22....whatever. Only downside is you haul 2 rifles - but each is dedicated.
Personally I have my AR-15 and I have the M&P 15-22. I like to try out the cheap tacticool stuff on my 22, before I waste gobs of money for the good stuff on the AR. In the end, I've just stuck with a scope so far. However, it's nice having the 22 - bounce between scope, irons or however I want to plink.
I can see the appeal to them being on the same lower though - just prefer separate. Plus, no swapping - just grab it and go. (That's a first world benefit there. )Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.
