I can get you the Gemtech for $235 plus tax and the AAC Pilot 2 for $295 plus tax. It is true, I don't have them in stock and you will have to wait on the Form 3 approval. But, you can at least use these prices for comparison purposes.

Yes, I can get 1/2 by 28.

I am seeing anywhere from 1 week to about 3 weeks on the Form 3. Form 4s are another story and that approval may take 6 months so this may still test your patience.

For the most part, all .22 suppressors are 1/2x28, so you should be fine.

I have a LWD conversion barrel now for my Glock 22 that is threaded 1/2x28 and I want to get a 9mm Carbine (AR-15) that has the same threaded barrel, so I can swap the suppressor onto either/or...basically make the most, or rather least bang for my buck.

how about an osprey, they say they have inserts that will allow swapping calibers, 9, 40 and 45.

there are thread converters available also, just in case you were stuck in that situation.

not real sure yet i just started looking into this today.

msrp on the osprey is like $850 for a .45 then a osprey piston is $75.

so $925 to supress both 45 and 9mm with only having to pay 1 tax stamp and transfer fee.


i would guess there would be other brands that offer caliber conversion.

if it will do 9mm, .45, 10mm, and 308 then i see no reason why not to buy it and if it's $550 anywhere i see that as a good deal. while i would prefer individual suppressors for each weapon i hate the idea that i would have be spending $250 extra per. this would be the right route for me.

let me know if you are getting one for that price and when. i'm sure im with you on this now.

oh and if i want one for a .223 as well, is there any other calibers it will work with?

Nice. I got with Jeff and I'm going to get the Sparrow. And then next up on the list is the 300 BLK with a suppressor (really leaning toward SBR, but not sure if I want to go with full-length in the mean time or just wait). It would be awesome if I could get an Osprey and use it for all my handguns and the Blackout.

Sorry to bring up an old thread.

I am looking to suppress my Glock model 22 that I have converted to 9mm with a threaded 1/2x28 barrel. Will the Gemtech OUtback II still work with a 9mm? I just re-read through this thread and I think I lead you all to believe I am trying to suppress a .22, which I do not even have.

If not, what are some options on a 9mm pistol/carbine?

Outback is a .22 can. You put it on a 9mm youre in for a problem.

I emailed him (about a Sparrow, before I decided I want an Outback or Pilot), he said I'd have to buy it then it'd be transferred to him like a regular firearm and then he could transfer it to me, with all the paperwork and waiting. I read that it can take 3 weeks or more to transfer it from a dealer to an FFL, and then I'd have to wait for my paperwork to clear before the FFL could transfer it to me; I'd like to skip the dealer to FFL if it really does take any extra time, and if I can find somebody that has it in stock.

I ordered a Sparrow through him, and I had the form 3 approved/received in 2 weeks and could start my paperwork.
