damn good gun based on reputation. that and the 92fs. never shot one but i want to change that in the near future?

i almost hate to ask, but im dying to know... what is the general consensus on SIG here?

i've always figured if im spending $1000 on a full size handgun i would do a p220/p226 over a usp.

I liked the Sig I had (the aforementioned P228), but I don't know if I'd spend $1,000+ on one.

But it and the Witnesses were the best-feeling handguns I've ever held.

luckily you dont have to. you can get them for $700-800ish.

$1000 would be for the specialty models of sig or the usp tactical for hk.

Buy yourself a 96 and then a 92 upper and you'll have the best of both worlds. I've had this gun and upper for 5 years now. Thousands of rounds and it has not jammed once in 92 or 96 form.

Ah, ok. I think I paid $600 for the P228 years ago, and it was well worth it.

I love my 90-two. I have used it for everyone of my qualifications and she is always true. It is basically the M9 but with a more modern look to it. Otherwise all of the other functions remain the same.

I would like you to put my p30 next to a glock 19 and tell me which one is better. If you said the glock and honestly meant it, then god help you.

I will admit that the USP and the glock are more similar than the p series and the Glocks. I do however prefer the USP due to grip angle, manual safety, decocker, DA/SA, hammer fired, ambi controls, etc.

The P series offers so much more than a glock, that it is easy to justify the extra money. You get the same weight and capacity, plus a grip that you can configure in eleventy billion different ways, each of which feels like god molded it to fit your palm. Hammer fired, decocker, safety avaliable (mine has no safety but my Dad's does), etc.

I would really like to have you come to the range with me and try some of my H&Ks. I promise that after you run some rounds through my Mark 23 and p30 you will never look at a glock the same way again. Hell, I will even bring out the 93 and mp5k to try and get a full dark-side conversion

I've never understood the whole HK pricing either, although I have never shot one either. I do however love my Glock 23, and the angled grip I like a lot. I also like the fact it fits my hand perfectly, maybe because I have small hands. Ambidextrous, I dont really care either way. External safety, not important to me as well. I love the way it shoots, and I trust that it will knock a round out every time. I dont have a reason not to. It has never FTF, or FTE on me ever with several different ammunition brands both brass and steel cased for the 6 years I have owned it.

Crazy... because according to Buzzo you should have pepper spray instead of a handgun if you like an external safety on your weapon.
