I spent close to 2k on an HK plastic pistol. I win the ignorance contest!
I bought the same gun, and spent the same I believe. Do I at least tie?

Would those that believe an HK is equal to a sigma also agree that a pinto is equal to a Lexus? I'm just wondering. Not that I'm any kind of HK fanboy by any means I'm just curious

I've owned a couple HK's only for the fact I'm left handed and I liked the idea of the left side slide release. I owned both guns for over a year, shot them plenty. Sold both HK's because Glocks are almost half the price, do everything the HK does (besides the left handed release) the Glocks hold more rounds and are lighter.
As for the pinto vs lexus, lexus offers a lot over the pinto. HK does not do the same compared to Glock.
I can understand owning a gun because you like it, nothing wrong with that. I own pistols to defend my life. I don't own them cause my buddies think theyre cool or I wanna feel like a big man.

can't escape this mentality here I guess. Same sort of thinking as the guys posting in the threads about nice, fast, spendy cars with how they can make a fox body go just as fast for 1/10 the price lol

Well, tell me what the HK does that warrants the price? Im a man of logic. If I think something is worth more money then I will spend it. It's a damn gun, again, its for defense.
HK is a heavy, bulky gun, and over priced. That is my opinion

Wonderful logic. Buzzo buys the more expensive item, he then realizes there was a less expensive item. Therefor he sells the expensive item and buys the cheaper item that provides not much more than the expensive item. Even though the more expensive item did the same thing

And probably took a loss on the more expensive item

I'm gonna have to agree with Billy on this one.. I dont own a glock but it is probably the best bang for your buck gun ever! Why does pretty much every police officer carry one? Why are they known for being able to shoot in all types of weather conditions? I shot some pretty solid loads through my g-27 and no KABOOM! not saying HK is a better or worse pistol but its like comparing snap-on to mac tools.. close to the same but just a hair different. both great quality but made by different companies.. glock is just way cheaper

Heavy: 1.45 lbs for Glock 22, 1.65 for the USP .40 full size. If you need to sell a gun to drop .2 lbs, time to hit the gym.
Bulky: 1.18" wide for Glock 22, 1.26" wide for the USP .40, sorry you have tiny hands.
Overpriced: $540 for Glock 22, $740 for the USP 40.
You're entitled to your opinion, but IMHO the Glock is overpriced for what it is.
