sXs, not sKs. Not saying it makes a difference in turn-around time, just sayin' in general

I'm about to have my AR-15 cut down by the guys at Atwell Tactical. They come highly recommended from the AR-15 forums. I know it doesn't matter for you, but after cutting my barrel down and re-threading it, they even enlarge the gas port to compensate for the loss of barrel length.

I don't know the name of the shop, but it is across the parking lot from the Winchester gallery I think it has switched owners sometime in the last couple of years. Talk to Tony he as a good guy and very meticulous and anal about the work he does on guns.

Edit: Looked it up and it appears the Winchester Gallery is running the gunsmith part as well, but Tony is still there.

I emailed him about dropping my new .308 bolt gun off to get the barrel threaded and bolt handle modified. We will see what his turn around time is.

Meh, I figure if I had to wait 5 months to just get my ATF Form 1 stamp back, I figure waiting longer to get my upper cut down is just part of the game.

I was going to have my barrel threaded by Atwell. Was going to drop it off next month so it would be back by the time my Form 4 was in I would have it back. Guess I may want to drop it off now.

Yes he is in Richardson. He did exactly what I asked him to just took double the time Quoted.
