  • Supressor sign off

The guys who I bought my AR10 from have supressors for sale, but I need a legal sign off from dallas police chief after I apply to the ATF and the 200 dollar stamp. Is there anyway to go about this with out greasing the maching? (pay off)

Or is it better just to move to a more rual area where the chief doesn't care?
I have no marks on my record besides a possession of marajuana class B misdemeanor that was deffered.

I'd be using it strictly for hunting hog at my deer lease in Sulpher Springs.

Dallas PD & SD will not sign off; PERIOD.

You are going to have to go the trust route.

Sheriff Valdez laughed in my face when I tried to get her to do it for me.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

I think bribery is illegal, and probably not the best way to start an NFA collection.

That is why I love Tarrant County Sherriff Dee Anderson. He fully supports the ability for average citizens to get these types of items. His secretary that gets this type of paperwork in even goes as far as to pay the postage to have it mailed back to you!

I told her, let me know when he is up for re-election, cause he's got my vote.

Oh and I got my ATF Form 1 back about a week ago for my SBR AR-15...thanks to our Sherriff.

I'd go the trust route as well. Looking to get my first supressor at the end of this month as well. Using mine for pig hunting as well.

Edit: I just read the law, I thought wrong. It is only illegal to hunt "Game Animals" with suppressors. Obviously hogs to not qualify.

FFC what county do you live in? Check out forming a trust, it will save you the signature step. It is a bit more expensive though.
Didn't want to lose this info, if you guys know of a better way to do this let me know

You can use anything you want on pigs. You cant use them on game animals.

Dallas county so i guess no supressor for me..

I'm planning on buying another house within the next 2 years out towards Keller, Royce City, or Flower mound areas.

Yes I know bribe is illegal but I grew up in and around the legal system, and have had multiple family members and friends of the family high up on the state side of congress. I'm not blind to the corruption like most people lol..

Maybe "pay off" or "grease" are the wrong words. I should say "lobby" myself a signature. Now that makes it legal....lol

If only I had the money. IR looks like it would be pretty fun too, except for the one I saw wasn't weapon mountable.

speaking of that...whats the real difference in a gen 1 NV and gen 3 NV besides 2,500+ bucks.

A gen 1 with 4-5x magnification wont get the job done? I'm not trying to go james bond, I just want to kill pigs at night!

I thought Gen I stuff sucked, even with an IR spotlight I didnt like it. I'm looking at some Gen II ATN stuff that isnt super bad ass but it fits my budget and blew away the Gen I stuff I was looking at.

My boss sells guns (and NV, Supressors, etc) on the side so if you want pricing just let me know what you are looking for.

It doesn't just have to be a sheriff or pd chief. There's judges that sign in Dallas county.

Gen 1 you are talking 1000x light amplification. Gen 3 is 30,000–50,000x. Huge difference.
