my time is worth something. i'm not one to sit there and waste by getting the brass, punching out old primers, cleaning brass, re sizing, getting the materials, then sitting down pumping out a few bullets every pull of a handle. i have a family i enjoy being around, and i am willing to pay extra to go shoot for an hour and spend the rest with them. Now my son on the other hand is becoming a reloading fool lol..

and you did not get burned...
The way I look at it, my money is worth more in guns than ammo. And .223 is only worth 4 cents a round to me. I save money on ammo, and I acquire more guns. And, I also understand more about ammunition than most people by taking the time to learn everything. And, if the world comes to an end, I'll be able to make ammo when others who buy ammo will just be customers.

look .. i wasn't knocking those who reload... i can do it and i have the equipment to do it. but i rather not spend my time doing it.
and not to make this a pissing contest... but we have our share of guns and we keep buying daily

I guess it all depends on the kind of press you have, I can reload it quicker than I can shoot it, and the amount of money I save is definitely worth my time. Unless you're making $200/hr in your free time, I couldn't imagine how that wouldn't be worth it.

like i said, not trying to stir shit, if you like and enjoy reloading thats great.
but for me, spending time with wife, daughter and son and my parents, is worth way more than 200 bucks an hour.
