I fucked up the firing pin retainer. It split in 2

Just wanted to know if I can use a regular cotter pin. Instead of waiting a week to have new one mailed to me.

Looks like last time I re instilled it. I didn't have it lined up correctly on the firing pin.
so it was stuck in pretty good. After 30min I stopped dicking around. And just yanked it out hard,

I was thinking about using a stainless steel cotter pin. Same size?
