The most "just" solution my ass. It is good to hear that he's out though. The most just solution would be to get his ass out of jail, clear his record, suck his dick, and make a public apology for your state and it's officers being so fucking stupid to even consider this guy a criminal.

PA does reciprocity with Texas CHL. Am I missing something?

              Please elaborate...

Shippensburg, a college town (at least it used to be...) is not a great way to view a state.

I see very little difference in the people of PA and of TX, specifically the country people. Cities are cities and politicians are politicians.

Getting a CHL in PA is a breeze compared to TX.

It's still a college town, and CHL's are in fact, a breeze. I'm talking about the public's attitude toward guns. This town is still very country, but a lot of the people who should be cool with guns are against anything perceived as an, "assault weapon." They aren't open to discussion about it, either. I was discussing with a coworker that Tank Johnson could've gotten the weapons he was arrested for legally, had he gone about it the right way, and she was mortified that I'd advocate anyone owning NFA items, and didn't seem to understand me when I said my advocation was secondary to the matter. She wouldn't hear me out at all about it.

                    Governor let him go!
THE RAZOR WIRE atop the prison fence glistened yesterday morning and winter's first winds whipped tears from Sue Aitken's eyes. But the foreboding walls, the frigid air and almost two years of guilt did not dampen her mood.

I've never experienced that my whole time in PA (growing up) and as an adult I don't witness that either. I'm not really up for arguing different experiences that we've had though since it is one of those chasing tails experiences.

Not to mention arguing that I'll find a million people like that in TX too.

When I was paying attention to the gun forums, it seems like AZ, FL, PA and TX were really popular.

Hell, I went to a gun show in Allentown PA and it was at least as big as the FW one with more people in it.

                        Anyway, I'll let it be.

I may be projecting some of my homesickness on my judgement of the situation. I don't mean to disparage your home state, bro. My bad.

Blah, did not mean to be defensive to the point of that post.

The part that got me was the person's lack of willingness to listen and learn. i.e. my Dad once asked me "WTH do you need an AR or AK for these days?" The zombie/world ending argument is not generally a good one, so I explained about hogs and how I'd like the opportunity to hunt them one day. (then generalized about nostalgic value) and he totally understood.

Of course, I do have a gun toting and hunting family. Where we take leisure time is in sullivan county (tioga and surrounding areas), which is really country. Those people don't have any issues either.

It just surprised me that you're running into that kind of resistance. She's probably the type that busts her gun loving husband's balls week and week.

Tioga is a nice area for sure. Damn good BBQ place there...don't recall the name of it though.
