I actually read the whole story.

      What a crock of shit.

That's what happens when you have liberal storm trooper officers enforcing the unconstitional laws.

It sucks that one-time fairy tales of America's demise is our news today.

I read an interesting opinion piece once about yesterday's science fiction being today's scientific goals and achievements. This kind of stuff always reminds me of that article.

The NRA replied to me, stated they donated $7,500 to his defense fund. That isn't going to go very far.

There's a good thread going about this already on pafoa.org. It's got some background dirt on the judge.

Dude fucked up, did not fully check into the legality of the mag cap and had banned ammo. I am curious to know if those are the main charges, not him actually having the pistols.
I wonder if NJ is the same as Texas in that the Jury also decides the punishment. The sentence is the fucked up part.

Right. This will be nothing but a political circus. We can only hope that the defendant comes out smelling like a rose.

In the Garden State, Aitken was required to have a purchaser's permit from New Jersey to own the guns and a carry permit to have them in his car.

He also was charged with having "large capacity" magazines and hollow-point bullets, which one state gun-control advocate found troubling.
Sounds like the main charge is the state didn't get their $$ for the permits and the magazine/ammo charges are just icing on the cake.

                        What a load of shit....

One more reason to stay my ass right here in Texas. Thats complete bullshit, the defendant, witness and even the cops said he had boxes of dishes and other things in his car indicating he was moving which would allow him to have the guns in the car and the crooked ass judge wouldnt allow that in the case. Total horse shit.

Christie better do something about this!

I asked on pafoa why the DC gun ban ruling didn't apply to this, and apparently, it was only for US territories.

Guam (a US territory) has gun laws that almost mirror Texas.
