Primary Arms 3X compact scope

Damn that looks good Mo. How's it look when you're outdoors during the day? Is that a Magpul flip up sight you have on the front?

I don't mind waiting and spending more money on an Eotech, I just want to give the PA red dots a chance because I've read some great things about that. But I don't want to settle on something and wish I'd bought something else.

i haven't gotten a chance to use it yet but i expect i will like it just fine. hell i used a centerpoint (walmart) for a while and i even liked it alright.

i was wanting a more expensive red dot like an aimpoint or eotech but went this route due to the reviews. i'd still like one of the more expensive ones but not interested in spending $400-500 on something that doesn't have magnification.

the downsides:
this is my fault but i had no clue which mount to get so i went with the standard low profile mount. to me it looked better than a high rise mount. well the low profile mount doesn't cowitness (atleast with the magpul flip ups). i would have appreciated PA's sight describing what their mount sizes were for (no cowitness, 1/3, absolute)

second, i don't like this chassis that much. it seems like a dumb design (non symmetrical single mount) as far as i'm concerned that's a knock on aimpoint since this is a clone. i'd have to mess with the real one to be sure but the location of the settings knob is a bit akward along with the method to load the batteries. that little rubber boot thing is annoying.

tony bought the m3 and the m4 so im going to check out his m4 to see if i like that frame better.

i was aiming at random crap in the backyard. it's plenty bright in full daylight. i think i had the setting at 4/5 out of 7 and it was plenty bright yet still nice and small.

i had a magpul flip up set on this rifle but i learned some things after i made a few back to back to back purchases. my gas block rail is low profile and not on the same plane as the rest of the upper. i would have to get a front sight for a low profile gas block (but not a low profile front sight (that is what i currently have).

more importantly, you dont put a magpul flip sight on a gas block. apparently it will probably melt. i just took it off and put it away, i'll use it on something else later.

ya, cabelas sells it. $150, comes with 3x magnifier. let me know if you get it, we could always meet up and we can compare (i'll hijack Nash's PA m4)

at least you can exchange it if you buy at cabelas and dont like it.

i like the look of it but the reticle looks crazy if that last picture is what it looks like. i cant tell.

I bought the 3x scope, it has a large circle and then a small mil-dot recticle in the middle. I'll try to post pics tomorrow
