The keltecs are supposed to be ambi, does that change anything?

I honestly think there is a niche for a bullpup designed hunting rifle for brush hunting/stalking. Maybe not, and probably wouldn't sell enough to warrant making it, but I would consider it assuming trigger, optics etc were all up to par with a good bolt or lever, just way shorter.

Possibly, if someone does it bare. The thing about bullpups is it always seems to be an action encased in a huge polymer shell. I just don't like thick rifles. They suck for slings, handling, and brush/foliage style hunting. One of the reasons I really like the AR15 is how thin/small/unobstructed it is.

I've never cared for the large reciever of an AR, with the tall profile; nothing against them mechanically, just ergonomically. If all else were equal, a mini-14 would be my pick over an AR for a 223 platform. Just like the traditional style stock on a rifle, low profile POA to trigger, etc.

You are dead on about all the BP shells, especially since so many are an afterthought to something designed as a traditional boomstick.

damn someone finally commented on this thread.
they seem to have sold all draco bullpup kits for this run of manufacturing.
I still really want to do this.... but it might be a while .

im basically in agreement with CJ though on the bulky wrap around stocks. Im just not interested in many of their designs. But the draco kit one is a 'folded metal design' , aluminum i believe. It seems less cheesy , and a bit slimmer.
however I think the trigger setup on teh CBRPS ones are still a cable. So I will only try this if I go full head on in like a big nasty involved gun project.
and I've basically already got two of those going lol

p90's are the shit, but damn ammo is expensive and underpowered. Even the initial price is high.
400 dollar draco + 250 for their bull pup kit is not too bad. Of course that's if it can even be made to work. That keltec RFB is pretty nice too. Again though with the problems, can't get it....expensive , and is .308 really necessary for something the size of a sub gun ? not exactly...

Any way, those RFB's are definitely the shit I bet.

oh i see in the assembly on CBRPS website video I am wrong.
No cable for the trigger on the draco at least , it is a long connector for sure ...but directly connected.

Pretty much what I'm thinking. On the one discussed above you lose a whole 1.5"s. And move the blast a lot closer to your ear.

                    Not worth it, imo...

Seriously guys, what is the draw, aside from looking cool?

But now that I actually looked into it, the KelTec RFB looks pretty sweet from an ambi point of view

I'd assume its not just the slightly shorter overall length, but the significantly longer barrel for that relatively similar overall length.

Yeah a 16" barreled AR with the stock collapsed is around 32" OAL. The RFB with a 18" barrel has a 26" OAL, that is pretty significant. Plus you are moving a lot of the mass towards the rear of the weapon.

The RFB is a really interesting design to me, plus they say the trigger is supposed to be pretty nice on it?

trigger is supposed to be pretty good. Doesn't really matter though since you can't buy one!
