When they are brand new, they hang up when above 20 rounds, but once they get dirty they start to work flawlessly. This last weekend I had my 10/22 bouncing and banging around in my jeep. It was COVERED in dust and dirt, inside and out, and it didn't jam once when I was shooting rabbits, and I shot through 10 mags. I'm sure the ruger mags are great quality as to be expected, but for more money, less features, and the same capacity... what makes these so great?
    Cant keep count of rounds?

IMHO the BX-25 is much better quality than the Butler Creek mags. I have both the plastic and steel lip Butler Creek. The plastic lip isnt worth the .22 rounds it will hold, the steel lip is nicer, but the BX-25 just feels alot more solid. I've never had a single problem with the 10 rounder and the BX is constructed with the same lip. It uses the exact lip that Ruger designed to be used with their rifle. I dig em.

No, not the way I shoot. I only use it for hunting. When I'm trying to shoot a rabbit that's running all over the place I don't count squeezes.

Well, if you consider the steel lips are perfectly reliable (in all the 10/22's I've tried them in) then the difference between the two mags is the BX-25 isn't clear so you can't see your round count, and it also doesn't snap together like the steel lips. Both of those features I use all the time.

I have never liked the tactical style 10/22's but that wouldn't be bad if it had a standard looking handguard and nix the bayonet.

I am not a fan of the extended magazines for the standard 10/22's though, I like the flush fit.
it doesn't feel near as cheap as I thought it would

LOL, you need to try it if you think it only takes 1. I've had a rabbit take 30 9mm rounds before it stopped running. 30.

haha I have honestly only shot 1 rabbit ever. I shot him right between the highs from about 20 ft with my 22 revolver... and I only did that because that little bitch was the ONLY thing I saw all morning one day while deer hunting (yes.. while deer hunting in a box with a heater :P )

I put 100 rounds through a BX25 yesterday and had no problems of any kind. Attaches/detaches from rifle without any problems (unlike a youtube video I saw). Loads easily, no jams. I used two different types of Winchester ammo.
