Sounds like he didn't know what he was doing, hehe. I installed night sights, extended hammer, and ambi safety in Cobra's USP compact in about 45 minutes no vise involved except for the sights. Like I said I encourage people to give it a shot, guns are not that difficult if you have patience. And when it's all said and done, you will know everything about your pistol for future knowledge.

I'm free tonight, tomorrow night I'll be busy packing for a hunting trip and I don't think I'll have the time to work on your pistol. Next time I'm free is Monday evening.

That's all I use, I think there may have been a needle nose in there somewhere.

Any suggestion on a good punch set to buy that isnt insanely expensive? Midway has a ton of options, hard to figure out which to go with

Harbor freight, I've used a cheap set from them for a lot of projects, and they are throw away cheap.

Ditto CJ, I just converted my HK45 to LEM and it only took two punches, needle nose pliers, and a hammer.

agreed - harbor freight for hard tools always.

My files uhm...fell off the back of a truck.. Actually work was trashing them, hadn't been used, at all. Score.

GSXRK5, if you want we can work on the ramp, possibly the extractor too. I should be free after 5 tomorrow. What brand/model 1911 is it?

This where I've bought 90% of the tool stuff I have for guns specifically. The rest were gun specific tools that HF does not sell.

Damn right, I think I just read something about HK recalling their entire current generation of pistols.

Oh wait, that was a different firearms manufacturer

Come take a look at my safe and tell me if you see one single Glock.
