Looking for a new shotgun

I am looking for suggestions for a new shotgun for hunting. Here is the criteria

1) 12 Gauge
2) Automatic
3) Must be able to shoot 3" Mags
4) Must be a gas gun (I own a couple of Browning A-5's and all I can stand to shoot is the 20 gauge).

Recommendations?

I use a Remington 1187 Premier for dove.



This shotgun meets all of your requirements you are looking for. The 1187 can cycle both low pressure 2-3/4" and magnum 3" loads flawlessly. Later versions can also cycle 3-1/2". That's the major improvement over the 1100 - which cannot shoot 3" magnum, and also has trouble with wide pressure differences in loads without adjustment. In my opinion the 1187's are a great option to cover all of your criteria and also come in at an affordable price. Both the 1187 and Beretta are about the same price, because they are direct competitors. I've personally found the barrels and accessories to be cheaper for the 1187 then the Beretta's.

side ejection. That is a picture of a left ejection model, there are several variants. Mine ejects on the right side like a traditional semi.

Supposedly the SX3/ FN Mark I have are the worlds fastic cyclic action in an auto loader. I doubt i give up anything with my 1100 or SBE II when it comes to birds, but for some reason I seriously want the FN Mark I.
