I haven't owned a lot of guns, but my xd has been great, over 1K rounds through it and not a single problem. Maybe I'm missing the sarcasm in the thread
I have an XD 45 and I have put a lot of ammo through it. It's been rock solid, eats any kind of ammo and shoots well.

Friend has one and after a few rounds it would no longer toggle the firing pin block.
Who knew that the Croatians would ever fuck something up.
That beiing said, if you want a plastic gun I highly recommend H&K.

Uh.... the XDs have only been imported to the US for 7 years... and I am assuming you have not lived in Croatia.
And I find the HK superior in many, many ways. External saftey, no bullshit grip safety, excellent barrels with polygonal rifling, proven and adopted by countless military and police forces, made in Germany (you know the Germans make good stuff... like hte shamwow), exclusive, and sexy as hell.
Comparing an XD or a glock is like comparing a toyota camry to a BMW 3 series. Sure, same shit and does what its intended... but the BMW sure is a hell of alot cooler. Also, this is my own opinion, so to many it does not mean dick.
Nick, after reading this I would set the price around $27
Realistically, XD9 new will sell for roughly $500 behind a counter. $50-100 more if it's an XDm. All you need to do to sell in Texas, from what I understand, is just make a signed receipt for a personal bill of sale.
XD is a fine gun. Just browse XDTalk.com and post. I'm sure you'll find a buyer.

XD9, full size? Even though it's never been fired, it's still going to depreciate a little, kind of like a new car.
With the ammo and cleaning kit, I'd say $375 with the ability to be talked down to $350.
