I gave my dad my old .380 when I picked up the Kel-tec P32. Ya, I went down in size, but I love the size of this. I'm trying to push it on my wife, but she likes the NAA .22 revolver. I want her to shoot it with the .22mag rounds. Talk about a wild shoot!

lol...she probably won't be able to pimp slap you for awhile, that's for sure! My wife is all about the G19, so I gave it back to her with the .380 purchase.

She so wants to rub it in how much bigger her CCW is compared to mine.

But she knows better than anyone that the size doesn't matter.

She giggles the whole 20 seconds it lasts.

I'll be sure to send you my stocking for Christmas though.
I love my Taurus TCP, it fits my hand better. Might check them out too.

Off topic, but no need for new thread I don't think. I'm taking this to the range on Friday to get familiar and let my Dad try it out.

I've been dry firing it and the trigger pull feels really really long. I've never dealt with anything with a trigger pull (dual action) like that. Is the key just a smooth pull? With a gun like this is it still realistic to pull the "slack" out?

For whatever it is worth, I went with the LaserLyte laser for reasons specified. My only input on that is it works as intended, but if you keep your finger on the rail at all - it blocks the laser. So, it'll work fine for shoot and such - but if you have a -good- habit of keeping your finger up it'll be blocked. Should never really be an issue, but maybe someone would find that really annoying.

I bought an IWB holster with a clip on it. First time I bent over it popped right out. Still need to figure out something or just remember not to bend over.

I like the way the laserlyte mounts to the gun in comparison to other set ups, but how quick is it to get the laser kicked on while pulling out of the holster?

It would be a practice thing (that admittedly I have not done). It's right above the trigger, so if you were to use the laser it could be fast and the button works well.

I put it on mine as an option. I'm thinking if the time ever came up that I needed to use the gun it'll be fairly close and I won't be thinking about that laser.

Is it possible to mount the laser on the other side? I'm left handed and if only had time to shoot one-handed would want laser in reach of trigger finger.

No this is not possible since the laser mounts are not down the center.

Also, for me this laser does not work well. The replacement pin has an external part that digs into my hand when firing it. The more I fired, the more tiny layers of skin it removed.

This did not happen with my Dad shooting or a buddy shooting it.

I'm removing the laser, but also due to the fact that this gun is fairly easy to shoot and hit accurately at a 5-7 yards which is all I cared about with this gun. It scattered a little more for me at the slightly longer ranges but I did not buy this gun for that distance.

Hell, I hate to say it because of the "I told you so" comments that'll probably come - this Ruger is easier to shoot than my Glock 19.
