David the .500 is a cannon
Alex thanks for letting us tickle the Mac. Now I need one. Must have. Selling a kidney tomorrow at Traders Village.
Adam, i really need some more practice on the tree. No I will not shoot the .454.
Everyone, I hope you had a good time. I think the staff there will be more than happy to have us back. Maybe next time we can negotiate 3 hours instead of 2.

Okay time to get some sleep.
Thanks for hosting! I had a blast. Let me know what it cost and I'll shoot you a paypal.

Thanks to everyone who let me fondle their guns. CJ will be happy to know that I (we) collected ALL of the brass... thousands of pieces.

Someone needs to send that little girl who shot the .454 some flowers and an ice pack. She's going to need it. Video will be up soon.

      • This get together was the shit. In for future ones, even if I have to pay.

Alex I can't thank enough for letting us shoot that MAC man. I also need info on MP5K I need one now.

Adam my hand hurts like a bitch I blame the .454

Rich, we need another match without squib round.

Scott thanks for letting me shoot shit.

Matt nice to see the comic of the group. HK

Keith thanks for hooking us up.

        David nice SW 500.

        Auto-David Nice to meet you.

As for everyone else it was nice to meet you, I admit my memory sucks ass, and you will have to remind me of your name when we meet again. But it is always a pleasure.

CJ the brass will blow your mind.

            • I had a blast too and it was nice finally meeting you guys...although I have a terrible memory for names too. Alex thanks for letting me shoot the Mac...last time I fired a full auto was boot camp. Matt...that .38 surprised me with the recoil but was nice. The blast coming from that .454 felt like an artillery cannon....and might have caused an earthquake somewhere...HOLY SHIT!!! Finally fired some rounds thru that nasty old Taurus .38 my dad gave me...I don't think I could hit a barn door with it with the sights being as far off as they are...but mechanically it worked fine. I loved that auto 12 guage. I'll try to get a pic up of Matt and the foot tall ice cream cone soon. Count me in for next time as well.

lol. yu won fry rice too?

+1 on the having a blast. This was lots of fun. And i'm bad with names as well but thanks to everybody that i can't remember, especially Keith and Matt, and definitely Alex for allowing me to fulfill my HK fetish.

Can't wait for the next one....as i have 250 rounds of shells i couldn't use.

                • Was a great time. I have to agree on the comments above and thank Alex, Keith, Richard, others for letting me shoot the toys. I must admit being nervous about the meet and being unfamiliar about the range, not knowing any members well, and bringing a pile of guns/ammo for this situation. Everyone I met was great as were the range guys.

Kudos, and we must do again.

For Yale and others, the only surprises were the requirements for slug 12 ga and non steel core. I think some of my ammo for the MAK 90 was steel, which is why it stayed in the case.

I've got a video or two I need to transfer. People shooting the SW 500 hand cannon were great.

                  • Matt has some good video also of the gal from the range shooting the 454 and a bunch of us shooting the .500.

It was nice to meet all you guys.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

                    • Guys that was a great gtg! It was good to put some faces to names and be able to play with everyone else's toys. We must definitely do that again. We had a great group and I felt like everyone was safe and had enough range time to themselves. The staff was very hospitable as well.

Thanks to Keith for letting me shoot his suppressed 9, I have never done that before. Also, I am not sure whether I should thank or insult Adam and David for letting me shoot their uber revolvers . The saiga 12 was neat too, and I was really impressed with the accuracy while shooting slugs. Also, big thanks to David for letting me destroy his m16! Lastly, because of Matt I think I need a new wheel gun, I have always wanted a nice one and I think I may be in the market soon.

I must say that one of the high points of the night though was, "Hey Keith, check the chamber on the FS2000."

                      • Sounds like a great time, to bad I missed.
You remember the stories John use to tell us about the the three chinamen playing Fantan? This guy runs up to them and says, "Hey, the world's coming to an end!" and the first one says, "Well, I best go to the mission and pray," and the second one says, "Well, hell, I'm gonna go and buy me a case of Mezcal and six whores," and the third one says "Well, I'm gonna finish the game." I shall finish the game, Doc.

                        • You know u had a good time when 2 hours felt like 20 minutes.

Thanks Keith, but it was not necessary for u to pay for the range. I didn't see any gubment check gettin' folks in the group.

I will post a more verbose reply later, but I'm headed to a U16 hockey game.

Wharz pic of my ice cream cone????

                          • Well, I must say that this was a blast (pun intended).

Keith, you are too kind my friend. I too would gladly pony up a few coins to help pay for that, I know it wasn't cheap. I really had a great time though - Thanks man!

I wish I could have made the beer run afterward with you guys but Mary was on her way home and I needed a little time with her.

It was great meeting you guys that I had not met yet too. Bunch of good people for sure! Also glad you guys had fun with the 500. Hell of a hand-cannon for sure. Pete, bring the 454 again next time with some "hot" loads. I'll bring some 500grn for the Howitzer and we'll knock some walls down. lol I hope some of the vids show the crap falling off the ceiling when those two guns were fired. Crazy! When you said "you ain't got a nut one if you don't rapid fire that 500", I thought - challenge accepted, and pumped out the last four rounds as quick as I could. By the third round, the light fixture above me fell apart and started dropping parts. Either that or it was broken teeth from the guy who said his teeth rattled after shooting it.

Yale, wish you and CJ could have made it. Hopefully next time.

Matt, that 636 is a real gem. I've made my mind up that that's the wheel gun I'm going to get. Same version. Trade for a vintage S&W .22? lol
Thanks for letting me shoot it man.

Guys, I've got a few vids from my [old] iPhone. I'll see if I can get them uploaded.

                            Thanks again Kieth!

                            • Thanks a ton, Keith! That was awesome of you to put it together.
Great to meet those I hadn't met before, and to see the ones I had again.
Thanks for letting me run a mag through the MAC, Alex. That thing is sweet! And thanks to whoever said "Scott can be on the zombie team!".
It was good to see that the suppressor for the XD seems to have worked its issues out.
I have a pretty wicked headache today, not sure if it was from the multiple concussions of the 454/500 firing, or from inhaling all of the lead and gunpowder. Either way...totally worth it.

And big thanks to the staff at Shoot Smart, they were beyond accommodating and just downright cool.
