Even if by some chance he was pardoned, and has a CHL, it's not quite concealed at that point either.

Most company's explicitly prohibit firearms on company propertyin their employee handbook, and in some cases even the parking lot. Even if there are no signs posted, it may be legal to carry in the eyes of the law, but will lead to immediate termination.

Not my office, hes a client and is the owner. Only 3-4 employees, so they have a fear of calling him in as it would mean they would be out of a job. Company is broderline anyway with the aforementioned legal/financial stuff so they are walking a line.

As company policy, not by using the law specifically. You can be fired, not prosecuted.

By a recent law, a company cannot penalize you for possessing a firearm in your vehicle.

Ah, didn't know that. Thanks for the specific information, other than "nope."

FWIW, I had been out of state for over a year and a half when it went into effect, which is why I hadn't heard anything.

Not any more, I moved to Sacramento a few weeks ago, you're almost as close to the beach at this point, as I am. Coming back depends on how this whole career thing unfolds.

Sweet. Now you can jump on 80 and be at the snow quick! My dad lives like an hour from you. I hope to be in that area in a couple months to visit.

Yep, I plan to check out lake Tahoe, San Fran, and get back down to Carmel to check Mazda Raceway and Pebble Beach. I'll be in Carmel the first weekend in October, but for busines, no time for sight-seeing.

Hit me up when you're in the are, I'm always looking for an excuse to get out and about.
