The wife and I went over the weekend and took or CHL at Texas Handgun Academy. Is it just me or after taking the class are you afraid to go outside now?
If the folks in the class I was in are a representative cross-section of the people carrying guns in TX then that's pretty scary.
Several of the women were completely unfamiliar with guns and couldn't even rack the slide or load the magazine. When we were practicing clearing a stovepipe and double feed, I witnessed plenty of poor trigger discipline and not paying attention to what the muzzle was covering.
Another woman was dumb as a rock, recently divorced, and apparently angry. Judging by all the 'what if' questions she asked she is just looking for an excuse to shoot somebody.
Everyone in the class passed.
