I prefer the MP5, as I trust roller lock more than traditional blowback.

    Guess I could do an 40 cal MP5 and a 40 cal P30.

I could carry a thousand rounds of .22 and not even notice it. .22 is plenty effective when it's a head shot.

MP5/10 and Colt Delta Elite is the dream team.

I was thinking something like a Henry repeating and a colt. 45

Back when the West was still wild, a lever action rifle in the saddle and a revolver on the hip was the loadout of choice for putting meat on the table, surviving the night, and serving up frontier justice to put outlaws behind bars. Though the West was tamed and fenced long ago, its spirit lives on with the Henry Big Boy Classic Brass Rifle and Carbine. Don’t let the vintage aesthetics fool you, though; these pistol-caliber lever guns are built to meet the demands of today’s enthusiasts. Our legendary polished hardened brass receiver provides the foundation for this version of the Big Boy, which lends more than enough strength to withstand the higher-pressure cartridges it’s designed for. Available in two different calibers to match your favorite six-shooter, the choice between .41 Magnum and .327 Federal Magnum/.32 H&R is yours. These classic pistol cartridges see considerable performance improvements when fired from the longer barrel of a rifle or carbine, making the Big Boy Classic Brass a versatile tool to protect what’s yours and put meat in the freezer. And the choices don’t end with the caliber selection - the Big Boy Classic Brass is offered in a couple of configurations out of the box. The Big Boy Classic Brass Rifle features a full-length 20” barrel and a 10-round capacity, while the Carbine variant comes optioned with a large loop lever, a more compact 16.5” barrel, and a capacity of seven rounds. When capacity isn’t the be-all and end-all, the Carbine should be considered for its lighter weight and snappier maneuverability, making it ideal for tighter spaces and longer trips afield. The barrels are made of high-quality steel, cut to an octagon profile as another nod to the rifles that won the West, blued for corrosion resistance, polished, and the rollmarks are filled with gold paint by hand.To get you on target, the Big Boy Classic Brass has a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with a reversible insert. Because all eyes are different, the insert has a white diamond on one side to help line up the brass bead front sight and nothing on the opposite side if it’s too distracting. If your preferred sight picture involves magnification, the receiver is drilled and tapped to accept a scope base. Both the straight-grip buttstock and the forearm are crafted from luxurious genuine American walnut and accented with a polished brass barrel band and buttplate to match the receiver. The attention to detail carries through with the smooth action and crisp trigger that distinguishes an authentic, American-made Henry. For those looking to experience an undisputed piece of Americana, whether it’s at the range, in the field, or during a Cowboy Action Shooting stage, look no further than the Henry Big Boy Brass Rifle and Carbine.

            Opinions?

Keep in mind this is for a shtf scenario, so in my opinion I would want a single shot to conserve ammo.

Also the. 22 route does have an advantage consiering i could carry a lot more ammo...

Hmm, this would be pretty good. I forgot about 10mm MP5s.

But wouldnt replenishment be an issue? Considering itll be harder to scavenge for due to it's less wide spread availabilty?

Do they make a. 45 model?

What do you think will be harder to find? Extremely popular and sought after calibers like .45 and 9mm, or oddball calibers no one shoots like 10mm?

Doesn't really matter for myself personally, I have enough ammo to last the rest of my life if shit hit the fan.

They do not make .45 MP5's, it's called the UMP .45.

It all depends on the SHTF situation

A governmental collapse would require different ammo than a solar EMP event and that would require different ammo than a Zombie Apocalypse

It is a system that has been around for 70 years, so I would say that it is pretty proven.
