Any interest in a $55 CHL one day class??

Do you need a gun to go through this class? I'd like to get my chl but don't currently have a pistol. Not sure which I want and don't have 500+ to buy the ones I have found that I like.. Would be nice to have the chl part done so that when I do find the weapon I like and can afford, my chl is done..

You will need a pistol to take the shooting portion of the testing, but if the range you will be testing at rents them, then you can just rent one and buy 50 rounds of ammo...

But, if you haven't owned a pistol before, then I would suggest taking a class that teaches proper handling/safety and shooting technique before taking the CHL class.

It is with Extreme Defensive, talked to Mike. He is a friend of a guy I work with.
Thanks for all the info, I am waiting on Mike to email me the date. He said that the price was a one time deal, BUT I could bring in as many folks as he could fit, about 50.
He also said that the new classroom and rifle range will be completed in two weeks or so.

Yep, Mike is Mr. Bossman for me on the weekends I will deff see everyone in class then

I'm guessing this is Extreme Defensive. Did you talk to Mike or Craig? If so, you will see me out there when you go (I'm there every Saturday). Fingerprints and paper work are done on your own now. The fingerprints are with L1 and the state has you fill out the paperwork online.

In the class you will get your pictures, CHL-6, and CHL-100. Also included is the range fee. You would need to bring your own gun and ammo of course (though they sometimes let you use their pistols, but your still going to need ammo). The range is new, so it still needs some work to be awesome, but its not bad. The classroom location is also new, so it too needs some finish up.

If you do the class on an off day like Sunday or a weekday, I will prob end up guest instructing with you all

If it is with them, just PM me with any questions, or of course just give them a call or email. They do not often do the $55 deal, so jump on it if your on the fence. Normally its $100, or $75 with a coupon.

Also, if it isnt the same place and you guys want to just have some personal instruction. I do appointment classes out there on Saturdays or Sundays for anything from Basic handgun to Holster draw Style training. -V

All you need to do is point a weapon in the general direction of the target and pull the trigger. The class is way more concentrated on teaching you the laws than marksmanship. Seriously, if you can't pass the shooting part then you'd be better off carrying a sword than a pistol.

+1 If you cant pass the shooting, become a ninja.
I often see first time shooters in the CHL classes. It just means I have to give them more personal attention and assistance (which you are not going to get at most places, they will just let you fail and take your cash).

I'd do this if it wasnt way the hell out there hahaha. The gas alone would offset the cost. Sweet deal though man. I need to do my CHL class here soon
