I've got a pair of Caldwell's and they had no problem blocking out a .50 cal going full blast.

X2 on the muff's. Nothing like having bionic ears. I keep mine on the night stand for the same reason.

They have an aux input that I can connect my iPod to in the deer stand and it does not cancel out the amplified mic.

That's bad ass. How much do they run? I'd check, but have about enough time to make this post and have to run. Appreciate your input.

I just ordered these. I will let you know how they do on the range after they come in. I have been wanting a pair of electronic ears, but have been to lazy to do the research. Hopefully they are great

Good vid, they are ever bit as good as what he says. I was leary when I bought mine because of the low price, but have been very pleased.
Used them shooting this weekend and the fuckin sound of the cicada's was almost deafening!

Yeah, I just got back from Cabelas and picked up a pair. I am going to try out Top Gun Shooting Club again up in Leonard, TX to shoot my Remington 700. I want to see how well the low profile headphones work with a long gun and I think I am going to try my first USPCA (might be IDPA... I'll have to look) match this weekend.

It's not a big deal at all, but I guess that's where the more expensive muffs come in. These are $30 at the most. Oh, and batteries last a real long time.
I like them too. My dog loves to eat them.

I went to the range with my Caldwells a few weeks ago. Really odd not hearing the gun fire really, but hearing people talk non-stop. I liked the zone I went into with not hearing people and just shooting. Still, this type of hearing protection is well worth it. Just strange going from the standard hearing protection to these.
