If you would have ordered yesterday, you could have had a complete rifle for right at $500.
I picked up a Delton complete kit with a couple upgrades to my door for $510...add on the lower receiver we did a group buy during the Obama scare for and Im at $600. You can pick up a receiver for cheaper right now, and a kit without upgrades was $400

I built my first stripped lower yesterday and it went great. Looks awesome with my 50 cal upper on it. I have 4 more stripped lowers that I bought before the new regime took over. Different brands to check fit and function and see which I like. One is going to turn into a SBR and one will be long varmint gun. Others will probably sell.
