Oh shit. Thanks now I'm torn. I can get the bitone used for 500 . Or the all black new for 400. Am I being too picky? I like the bitones better

It's been bugging me that I went with it over the 40. But I wanted to get something my fiance was comfortable learning to shoot with.

.40 is not much more effective as a bad guy killer than the 9mm (arguably). And you get more capacity and less recoil with the 9mm.

eh that's an endless argument. a 9mm with a hollow point is a solid weapon. throw a +P round in it to kick more ass.

Yeah well I don't care What you say. Whether its a 22 or a 357 if you put rounds where it counts bad Guy going down. I went to. The range for the first time with my buddies 40 sw. Lol him and my other friend was not happy that I shot way better than them. With a 3 inch gun at that. Can only get better from here.

Oh by the way. I didn't get the all black. I got the bitone. It was What I wanted in the first place. But still got it cheaper new than gunmasters had it used. Was priced at $580. He knocked it down to $520. Gunmasters had it for $530 used. So I'm happy.

.40 has MUCH more energy that standard 9mm loads. More energy = more trauma. More trauma = less bad guy attitude.

Just an example, 9mm Corbon DPX has 399lb/lbs and the .40 has 448ft/lbs. But doesn't the higher velocity of the 9mm improve the shock to tissue/organs and make stopping power closer then the energy numbers lead to believe.

I'm pretty sure the ft/lb number takes complete consideration of the velocity of the round. i.e. if your round was sitting still, it would have X ft/lbs, X=weight of the bullet.

Yup, it's just mass x velocity. I'm probably just overthinking this as usual.
