Most large retail stores that sell firearms do the NICS check online.
really, because mine was at a very small pawn shop...

      How about this,

The NICS check is all done online now, except for where it's not!
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

No fbi checks are required for purchases except when purchasing a firearm.

They just called me with the proceed so I'll pick it up after work. I'll post up a pic even though its the most basic route you can go. $480 total investment and that's with tax

I want to know what dealer sells without doing a NICS check

The reason the "Major retailers" went to an online system and no transfer until proceeded was because the monkeys behind the counter kept making mistakes. The problem is walmart, bass pro, insert big chain store here does not want to send or give their employees proper training on how to handle the 4473's. Walmart a short while back was fined in the tens of millions for 4473 errors this is why most walmarts no longer carry firearms. Cabellas still calls theirs in but are putting in a computer section to process 4473's

I can ask you the same question. Did you bother to read the thread you pulled that quote from, or did you just search my username and pull that out?

AFAIK a lot of walmarts are getting firearms back.

my understanding is that the one's that had fewer mistakes and better sales will be. Walmart has a big push going this year with bone collector and realtree to try and re-spark hunting and specifically getting hunting gear at wally world. I've talked to a few managers and most don't seem to thrilled to be getting them back tho if they are going to the online checks store wide that should save most of the problems. Means all will be digital from the bound book to the 4473's less fingers in the paperwork should mean less mistakes and less fines
