Its just a .22 rifle. I want to take my boy shooting (he's 9) and also the ammo is so cheap. Shot my 9 mm this week end out at the grasslands in decatur and had.a blast but 15 bucks for 500 rounds vs 15 bucks for 50 9mm rounds makes a 22 desireable

I will agree with you on that. Before I was able to find private land to shoot on, I was buying the soft/hollow points from where ever I could, just to go shooting at a range. Now that I can shoot lower cost bulk FMJ ammo with out being hassled, I still find myself shooting much more of the cheaper .22LR.

You and your son will have a lot of fun. I still remember shooting a Marlin M60 with my dad. Saw it in an add and told my dad it looks cool. Next thing I know , we're out shooting it. Lots of memories.

Ah nice, good choice. Since my dad said he wasn't ready to part ways with the Marlin 60 we shot, I went and bought myself the stainless model and fitted it with a Bushnell 3x9-30. Great little shooter.

You know its illegal to target shoot out there? They have signs posted everywhere. There is only one unit you can target shoot a shotgun. The grasslands do not allow center or rim fire guns except for shotguns for hunting
