That is what I meant by "gun show loop hole". It is a face to face private sale.

If you knowingly purchase a firearm from an individual and you are aware that you will not pass a 4473 is where the trouble comes in.

Hang on a minute and one of the Ft based ATF will be in here to correct us.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I don't have a CHL, and had the same process. Don't fuck up, and you can buy a gun.

uhh, no you didn't. they had to take your form back and call in your info. most of the time it only takes a minute or two but sometimes for whatever reason they put a hold on it

when i get a gun all i have to do it fill out the paperwork, show them my id and walk away. no call needed

It definitely does take a while, but all I need is my ID and cash. Being in CA, I haven't been able to get a CHL. Having a Texas ID has some to do with it, but them being stingy with CHL's has the most to do with it.

Can you PM me the full-size of the chick in your avatar please?

I wanna see what is or isn't on her butt.

I don't like to refer to our ability to buy guns from an individual as a "loophole." Loophole is a favorite word among antis that implies that their is something wrong with said ability, which IMO is not the case.

I am all for trying to keep guns out of the hands of criminals, but not at the expense of my rights as a law abiding citizen.

I love being free, and having "less" rights in California, makes me miss being in Texas, but I'll gladly go through an hour or two process to buy a gun knowing that it will keep at least some criminals from buying one.

It scares me to think that my own Mom can go purchase a handgun tomorrow and bring it home, when she had to be coached by me where to find Word on her new computer (Windows 7 vs XP). Should she not be qualified to own a weapon?

As long as you are legally able to possess a gun, I would recommend looking at used guns. You can get a much better deal and you won't have to deal with ANY paperwork.

www.texasguntrader.com has lots of guns, and if you are patient you can find some good deals once in a while. The vast majority of listings are overpriced, IMO.

Also check out the for sale forum at www.texaschlforum.com, there are some great deals on there.

I had one of there business card's wedged in my door at home I called they never answered. Apparently they audited the FFL dealer and are going down the list of our group buyers. If anyone bought more than four they will probably be getting a call/visit.

                          ...

Just tell them you are buying for your friends in misseco and that the ATF is encouraging the sale of firearms to the messican. Then they probably won't even bother with a background check.
