So is that what this is about Justifying The money you spent?
Naw, I do not feel the need to justify purchases that I can afford.

Hell, a watch from walmart could tell time just as good as my Rolex.... but I like my Rolex.

    BUT....

Whoever loses, the winner gets to use the losing gun as a target. So, if you're confident enough that you H & K will work as well as the glock when thrown into the sand, water, mud, and whatever else, then let's go...

It's only money, so you can buy a new pistol after I FUBAR yours with my 10mm...
Sounds good to me. How many rounds of 10mm do you have?

I do not think that Glocks are junk, and I have never said this. I just believe that H&K makes a better product.

Why are glocks so susceptible to limp wristing?

I guess I can put my 2 cents in here.

I've shot exactly 2 HK handguns. One jammed... and the other... jammed once. One was a newish .40 compact, and one was a full size USP .45 rental whore.

I'm still very certain that both are fine guns, and the issues may have been related to ammunition problems.

                I've fired:
Glock 26 - never jammed with a couple hundred rounds
                Glock 17 - 1000 rounds no jams
                Glock 19 - no jams, 100 rounds
Glock 20 - 2 different guns, no jams
                Glock 21 - 100 rounds no jams
                Glock 23 - 100 rounds no jams
                Glock 27 - 300 rounds no jams
                Glock 29 - 50 rounds no jams
                Glock 34 - 200 rounds, no jams

5" XD .45 - 4000 rounds, 1 jam. Some shitty range ammo had 1 FTF
                4" XD .40 - 200 rounds, no jams
3" XD .40 - 2 different guns, no jams. probably 100 rounds each
                4" XD 9mm - 300 rounds, no jams
                3.8 XDM 9mm- 500 rounds, no jams

Various guns that jammed with decent ammunition:
a few Sig 226, 229, Beretta CX4, Kimber Double stack polymer .45, well, actually plenty of kimbers, mostly 5" models., HK USP and USPc

These are just the guns that I can think of off of the top of my head with approximate round counts. Some of it was rapid fire, strong hand, weak hand, eyes closed, gun sideways, etc.

I would have no problem carrying an HK that had proven itself reliable, but I will not pay a premium for a firearm that is only "better" because of the elitism that surrounds it.

Lol. The gun failed to cycle properly due to a common user error.

Guns that work right must be for fags.

So ... what exactly does a toe to toe handgun challenge consist of? Is this a duel?

It isn't a mater of elitism, personally I could give two shits about what anyone thinks of the brand. All my pistols I own are tools, and the reason I went with the HK45 was that it checked all the boxes for the criteria that I expect, and the actual feel and size was perfect fit for me. Is this worth an extra $400 over a comparable .45 polymer gun? For me it was.

Glocks are great pistols with a excellent track record. I know there have been some issues with the first gen 4's but I would still trust my life with one any day. The grip angle and ergonomics just don't work for me, and that is the only reason I don't own one.

The link I posted, he has put 150,000 rounds through his at the time it was written. The last 15K being the torture test. I fail to see how a barely-used HK compares

If you don't know how to shoot a hand gun then you shouldn't own one.

To you it wasn't a matter of elitism. I applaud that. To many it is. That way they can go to the range and scoff at all of those mere mortals who are shooting toy guns. The peasants who couldn't afford the finest engineering ever to grace a combat firearm. I've known and met plenty of guys just like that.
