Besides being a cheaper and fun plinker, is their any practical use for a 9mm AR? Just curious, seems like .223 would always be the better choice.

9mm ARs are really neat guns. They are very fun to shoot and make for some of the coolest SBRs and machine guns that I have ever shot.
I have shot a Colt 9mm SMG and it was more fun to shoot and easier to handle than an mp5. Also, I know a guy with a 9mm AR sbr with a quad rail that extends beyond the barrel and his suppressor screws onto the barrel and sits nicely inside his rail setup.
