eh, i guess i'm the only person that didn't like the bersa thunder 380. i dont hate it but i just had way too many cycle failures and FTEs with winchester white box. i understand that could have been the ammo, main reason im pretty much 100% federal now.

but with that little bastard, try to shoot off 200 rounds and look at your hands, the thing seems to pinch and bite your hands/fingers up. then to top it off the thing has too many safeties.

personally i've never met a little gun that didnt have a shit for trigger pull but if i had to buy one the taurus 709 (slim 9mm) or see if you could find a used kahr for more $$ well spent.

      A P238 would cure that.

My Kahr has a very smooth DA trigger. My p238 was fairly light, crisp and had very little take up.

I've run thousands of rounds of WWB ammunition in various calibers. The ammo runs great in the majority of guns.

If you're wanting a decent .380, look at the Walther PK380. In the $350 range and, from what i've read, the softest shooting .380 you will find as it does not have a direct blow-back action...
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

For every person that swears by Bersa, you'll find another who won't touch them. The Bersa 380 I fondled would release the hammer if you slam the magazine in hard.

I had a PF-9 and sold it for cheap. Keltec's website had something about they warranty their guns for up to 6,000 rounds. Real gun manufacturers warranty them for life. I've put 12,000+ rounds through one of my XDs.

You'll find a lot of used Bersas and Keltecs on the market. That ought to be an indication of what people do when they buy one.

Key word there... as a back up. That's only when their primary and secondary guns are gone or empty.

I'm not saying that they'd be my top choice, but most of these guys wouldn't carry a gun that didn't go bang.

                      I have a PF9 and I have no complaints. It's definitely a great value.

I can't tell you how many people would complain and try to return those Bersas when I worked at Academy in college. I got really good at saying "Sorry sir you signed the no return policy when you purchased it". Those and the Rossi revolvers.

If you are going after a pocket pistol: Bersa P32 or P3AT

Small CCW: Kahr CW9 (got mine for under $400). Much better trigger than the Keltec 9mm's and recoils a lot less since it is a little larger.

Check out the Kahr CM9. It's the same size as the PM9.

That's because the people who were buying them, don't know how to use them
