That's good for 50 yards, especially being your first time with a rifle.

Thanks... I just felt very unsure of my shooting position. I think a few more trips to range should build my confidence. Listen & learn.

The Group buy rifle will have my 3-9x40 on top. I'll be happy if I do good at 200-300.yrds,

Only jammed one time. Because I was using one of those $7 mags from CTD. As soon as that happened. I pulled out my P-MAG's no issues at all ... I just wanted to try one out.

Nice first outing. Do yourself a favor and pick up an army training manual on shooting an M16/M4 at your local surplus store. They'll give you a good basic run down of skills you'll need, like trigger discipline, form, breathing, and sight picture. It'll help a lot.

once you get used to it you'll shit bricks at how tight your groupings will be with an AR at 100, 200 yards. I don't own one but I have fired one many times and love the accuracy, just waiting for the right deal to come along...and the money of course.

this. AR's are extremely accurate and easy to shoot. You can take a person who is tarded at shooting a pistol regardless of size, and give them an AR and watch them make decent groupings. Awesome weapons fo sho.

I've got two AR's now, (16" and 7,5") and even with the pistol I can shoot alright groups and I suck at shooting.

Get more practice and you'll tighten your groups up. The quarter below was placed at 100 yards and I was bet that I couldn't hit it with one shot. I can make this shot about 80% of the time with MY AR-15 with a EoTech. (Again range is 100 yards).

                      Boom! Head Shot!

That's very impressive with an Eotech!

I took a friend shooting yesterday, never shot an AR and he was punching the center out at 50 and 100. I think he is going to buy one now

Because there's no way I can even see a quarter at 100yrds. I had to turn down the brightness on my aimpoint. At 50yrds because the 2MOA dot. Was as big as the bull's eye
