LOL. It used to be an ugly piece of shit. Now it's shiny, ugly piece of shit.

That hi-point would look awesome with a machine turned finish on it!

            You can polish a turd...

I love my Kimber, but I hate that the finish comes off so "easy." My next 1911 will be unfinished or polished. I'm a clutz though, so you very well may be able to disassemble and reassemble without doing the damage that I did.

Mine is this gun with scratches just below the slide lock.

if I was going to buy a gun, then it doesnt matter if it was 4 years ago. They still built shit products at some point, and I can expect them to do it in the future.

How on earth did you scratch it up? Oh, and remember. It's a kimber, not an heirloom. Go out and shoot the hell out of it.

By being an idiot. I have no problem shooting it, just pissses me off that I chose this gun for the finish, and personally fucked it up.

If it is a shooter a scratch or two is character. A safe queen is different.

<-----------does not own a safe queen.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

I totally agree, but this was my first 1911, and I was wrongly wanting to keep it "pretty."
