I started it as a serious question... Not my fault everyone is full of jokes.. So I got answers... Five seven sucks and a kimber 1911 is decent. I was lookin at a Ultra Covert before the clown at the store was pushin the five seven... No idea why none of them liked kimber except maybe the price.
I don't plan to carry it, unless its in my glove box. It will be mainly a range gun and for home defense piece of mind.

Beretta 92/M9 is a great gun for range and home defense (think Die Hard and Lethal Weapon). I have a 92A1, which has a rail for a light or laser. If you don't like black the Inox models are a nickel finish.

These full size Berettas are great shooters with low recoil. My wife shoots it well and is very comfortable with it. They are 9mm with a safety/decocker. Also easy to work on and customize. They are full size and alloy frame so won't work for concealed carry but great for range, home defense or car. I keep mine loaded with a 20 round mag on the night stand. 21 rounds of 147grain hollow points is reassuring. :-)

Shoot one if you get a chance.

10. Someone gets shot.
11. Police get called and find you bleeding on the floor, and cuff you.

If you are going to get a 1911, and price is no option then get a Wilson Combat. Transferable lifetime warranty, and they are some of the finest pistols in the world.

Alternately, if you want to really really be cool, get a sig P210 or a Korth.
