What bottlerocket posted is more or less an /end thread kind of thing. However, be sure to calculate your cost with shipping included to come up with the final price. Which that site does a good job of helping you with. Best bet is a 1000 or more rounds to make it really worth while.

I have always had good luck with ammoman.com and their serbian brass cased, boxer primed with 55gr fmj. Usually under $400 shipped.

I need to replenish my stores. I went through some ammo last week I was home. I am down to 4000-4500
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

Exactly! The site actually has a feature (which I overlooked for a while) where you can enter your zip code and it will estimate shipping on the ammo as well to give you a pretty close cost/round number when all said and done.

I seen Aim surplus had PMC Brass for 299.00 per K, that would be plus shipping. Usually I just wait for a gun show and pick up Brass reload 1000 rnds for a cash deal of $300.

Careful who you purchase from. If you have ever reloaded you know that it takes one lapse of concentration to do something like double charge a round and that can be bad news for your gun.

If you're not gonna reload, why not shoot steel?

I plan on getting in to reloading one day, brass is much cleaner, and my slidefire stock will not function with steel case

That is interesting to know. Is it just your gun?

I dont know, I havent put it on any of my other guns. Right now its on my M&P and it would not take it, 2 rnd burst at best. Cycled fine with brass.

could it be another issue? buffer spring or something that its cycling too fast?

I would think if it was that, problem would occur wth both case's not just steel.

I'm just throwing out ideas right now. I don't see why steel wouldn't cycle with it, doesn't make sense

I dont know, for shits and giggles I sprayed a little lube on the the ammo when I was loading them in the mag, and that seemed to help. But I can fire steel with FTF's, then turn right around and load the same mag with brass, and it runs flawless.
