That is why I have no problem "adjusting" or printing on purpose if I feel it will deter an idiot. If I am pumping gas and see someone who appears to have questionable motives I just pull my shirt a little tight and maybe adjust the cant a little. Plus I generally have a "leave me the fuck alone I am having a bad day and no I am not buying what you are selling" look on my face.

Yeah same here, if someone had a choice at a gas station, I would think I would not be the first choice. If someone approaches me or makes eye contact I tell them I'm not interested before they even get close, if they get any closer I'm immediately ready.

When I am getting gas I have a 10' radius rule. If anyone starts to approach me within 10' I tell them in a loud voice to stop. If they continue, I yell "STOP", and if they don't, I'm pulling iron.

In ANY normal circumstance, a person with no ill intentions will stop. The person who has singled you out as a victim is in a "zone" and will not abondon his illegal intent on just your say so. This proves to me what his intent exactly is and he will get to look eye to muzzle.

back on topic, yea i fucking hate people comming up to me when im pumping gas and start asking me for shit. look i don't have a lot of money and what i do have im not going to give it to your bum ass. get a fucking job and work for it like i did. hell i have even offer people day work to make some good fast cash with no tax taken out. but most of these people are the lazy and just want to take it. fuck them from now on im going to have my side arm on me when at the pump i useally keep in in the glove box but not any more.

When there are multiple assailants I think it was the right thing to do. He didn't know if there might have been more than 2 or if they had weapons so it was good to get himself out of harm's way after he neutralized the immediate threat.
He called 911 when he drove away and was told that the police were on scene and instructed to return, which he did.
