For what you want to spend, get the vortex.
I had the Strikefire for a couple of days. Could have been the batteries, BUT it was dim. When powered on in sunlight it washed the reticle pretty bad. The green illumination was a little better, but still not enough for me to be satisfied.
I will agree though, for the money the Vortex or Primary Arms is probably your best bet.
Can even look at the Nikon Monarch red dots. I have never looked through them but have heard decent things. They are just a little higher then the other two, but occasionally can be found on Sample List for the same price.

I have a cheap tasco red dot on my sks mounted top center receiver and held 0 fine. Took it off to mount a reflex sight rifles too heavy as it is. I bang the tasco around all the time when I'm at the farm its currently on my 1022 tacti-cooled out. Nah but in all seriousness good scope for the money and everyone should have a ruger 1022.Yeah its old and ugly but
