  • Best "cheap" red dot?

Just wanting opinions on an inexpensive yet good 1x red dot sight. Aimpoint Comp M4s is nice, but I don't want to spend that money...maybe 1/2 that.

    Any thoughts? Aimpoint PRO?

I've read several places that the Strikefire is very dim and not really usable in bright sunlight.
Atlantic Blue '00 - '03 Cobra motor and TKO600, solid axle, full MM suspension
        Silver '01 Vette - D1 blown LS

No such thing as inexpensive & good.

Yeah m4s. Is to fucking expensive. You can always by an M2 from ebay. I did I love my M2.
also if your not planning to deploy from a submarine. At 500ft deep. Lol. Then look into the ML3.

Just looking for an open eye (parallax free), from the ready to aim, fairly rugged sight for an *gasp* AR-15. I'm looking for $400-ish and under in price. I'm a cheapskate, so the cheaper the better, but good. Also, would prefer a standard AA, AAA battery or CR123 lithium.

                  I found this deal online:
CompML2 with mount and accessories. Price $450 +tax

Will have to read up on that one.

I have been considering the Burris AR-332 3x-32mm for my AR-15. List price is $481 but you can get them in the $320 range so it seems like a steal for a magnified red dot.
They seem to have great reviews but looks like they are backordered everywhere right now.

Yep. Exact reason I sold mine. I never even mounted it after I got it and powered it up. I do most of my AR hunting in bright daylight and no way in hell that would cut it.

Non-direct sunlight it may have been OK.
