  • Found my Holy Grail!

Been in the market for about the last 20plus years for a HK91. Different things would come up having the money but not finding the right rifle, or no money and wah lah the right rifle would come up.

Well the planets aligned and I found one contacted the store that had it and made the deal. I have always been apprehensive about buying weapons sight unseen made it clear that I would make a fully refundable deposit pending final approval.

Drove yesterday from Fort Stockton to Uvalde to pick up the rifle, when I got there the guy brought the gun out "oh my f'n God"

He hands me a never been shot pristene saco import HK 91 we couldn't get the deal sealed fast enough.
The back story is that in the early 80's the guy traded for 7 of these and this was the last one he had, I am so stoked!

Now i know this gun is not everybodys cup of tea but shit I have always wanted one and now she's all mine!

    Pics to follow!

    Sounds cool.

Seems like a ton of dealers bought a bunch of these in bulk in the 80s. I've heard many a similar story like yours.

Outstanding find. Welcome to the club. Do you mind me asking what you paid for it?

Now go and hit CTD and pick up a pile of steal mags for $1.97ea before they run out. Almost all of them that I have bought (300+) have been new in the wrap.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

Love my G3, wouldn't trade it for the world.

CJ I consider that a rousing endorsement.

A little back story, when I was right out of college a friend of mine had one and invited me to try it out we went to the range and I hit the 400 meter gong 9 out of ten shots.

Long story short he got all butthurt because I outshot him with his new toy.( Thats what happens when you learn to shoot with a single shot bolt action 22 every shot counts) wouldn't let me shoot it again.

          Mags and sling ordered!

Badass dude. I fucking love HK roller locked stuff, and have always wanted a 91.

Its nice to see people buy semi automatic rifles that are not ar15s.

I've read a bit, not as easy as an AR though.

What about price wise? Seem fairly decent?

Price seems to vary a bit, CJ would be the one to ask though.

I think the hardest part would be rolling and welding the receiver flat.

Yup, I forgot to add, that there is some serious gunsmithing required (compared to an AR).
