Is a gun show the best place to get a gun for the best price? Looking for a kahr CM9 for my ccw, and can't find one anywhere in stock besides Cheaper then dirt, and their name should be changed because its not cheap at all, they're kinda a rip off

Depends on what you consider a deal. You typically won't find "deals" from the big name gun shops that go to theses shows, mainly because that don't have to sell deals. You may find $20-$30 off the price of a gun but more of what you'll find is where they offer several boxes of ammo with the purchase of a gun. Now you can get good deals from the people selling stuff FTF.

What CTD have you been going to? The McKinney location has some great prices.

You have to do your homework, but I'm sure there are some deals. I wasn't really looking at optics today.

Well, it was a good day. I sold my Taurus within 20 minutes of walking in the door.
Picked up some small parts for the AR (springs, detents, etc.), some .223 ammo, and a little Bersa. Also picked up some 7.62x51 ammo for a certain board member that was out golfing.
There were some decent deals. I had to talk myself out of picking up an AR 6.8 complete upper. I'm going to hold out and build one.

I saw that 6.8 upper you were telling me about, pretty decent price on it. My little brother walked out with a new Remington 870 with the extended magazine for $295.

Went yesterday, took us about 3 hours to walk the whole show but I did have the wife and son with me slowing me down. Never really saw any super deals but it only took 15 minutes to sell the ak 74 for what I wanted out of it. Probably the only time I will ever leave a gunshow with more cash than I came with.
