First 336, posted a couple of pics in other thread from the for sale thread for this particular rifle, but now its in my hands and thats where its gonna stay. I've handled my share of rifles and this thing is great, it points almost perfectly, my eyes are lined right up as soon as I shoulder the rifle, and its in spectacular condition as you can see in the pics. The only real sign of wear is near the end of the barrel where it probably sat in a safe for decades, and some normal wear near the receiver. The action is butter smooth and clicks in all the right places and the barrel looks nearly unfired. No pitting on the metal anywhere and the receiver is immaculate.
In the car for the ride home
Screws from the weaver rail
On the "bench". Forgive the mess, in the process of moving
Worn blueing on the barrel
Receiver (duh...)
Other side
Scratched barrel band
