I want to buy a 22 pistol. (S&W 22A or a Bersa Thunder 22) Where should I look?

I live in McKinney, but work off 635 and Freeport so North Dallas area is best, but...who's gonna have a good price on one of these new or used? Bullet Trap, Cheaper than Dirt, Wal-Mart, Academy, Bass Pro, Cabella's or is there an online that y'all swear by like gunbroker.com? I don't mind buying used or private, but not sure where to look.

Damn it, had a whole thing typed up and closed the window not paying attention.

A few things...

1. There is a pawn shop in Mesquite called S&R Sales I think. They sell new stuff at really good prices and often throw in things like free magazines, Voodoo Tactical bags - and a lot of their stuff is brand new. Real great place to at least ask.

2. Otherwise I do a circuit if I have to buy new. Academy, Gun Masters (expensive), Bullet Trap, Cabelas (now), CTD and Bass Pro.

3. Honestly though, I've gotten killer deals using online sites. Sometimes people have money problems or just want to off load weapons. I use the following, but it takes some patience and persistence. One time I had to drive up to Witchita Falls (company dime, was going to Midland and ran up there and then down).

-Glock Talk

I think there is one more, but I can't remember.
