I don't like polymer frames because they are very uncomfortable to shoot. But if weight is an issue go for it. Pete carrys a witness. Mine is a .45 compact, the 10mm polymers are suppose to be thinner. Also, you can convert any witness to just about any caliber for ~230 bucks... which is cool.

Tangfolio is great, eaa - their us distributor - kinda sucks for customer service, but they do take care of you. I would highly recommend a new witness, instead of a used one for the warranty. The very early 10mm witnesses had problems with cracking frames/slides - but so did every single 10mm pistol on the market - including colt and glock. When you're looking into a 10mm your options are very limited, there any only a handful of manufacturers, and the witness is half the price of all the others.

Witnesses are a very odd family of pistols from a marketing standpoint. They only have two applications for the most part - inexpensive affordable pistols, and extremely high end competition race guns. They are based on the CZ75 family of pistols. Witnesses are surprisingly accurate, the most accurate compact i've ever fired for sure. For the price there is absolutely no gun that even comes close in quality and execution.
I agree on the Witness, I carry a compact, non polymer in .40 cal most of the year except for the summer months, then I carry a PF9. The Witness compact is the same size and fits in the same holster as a Glock 27 but is of course a little heavier. Never had a problem with it or my full size .38 Super or my .45 Match and all are way more enjoyable to shoot than the Glock 27......

No Kidding, my barrel for my upper should be here today. I think it's coming assembled with the block and tube so I'll need punches and stuff so that I can actually assemble the upper.
