Time is money, it's worth $25 for me.

Good thing about the design is you could always find something that will work instead of the paper clip
Mine didn't come with the original "tool," so I use a small allen wrench. The UC must be easier to take apart, because I've been fidling with my tactical pro, and the spring is way too tight to do it without help.

I'm not sure on the full size, but the 4 inch barrel guns must have a take down tool. The ultra carry or 3 inch barrel guns you can take it down without the tool.

the ultra carry pistols come with a tool. but if you index the recoil spring the right way, you can take them down without the tool

Interesting that he would make his tool for the UC first, I'd imagine that there's a bigger market for the longer barrels.

I looked at his site, and the Pro carry requires a modified guide rod. I'll keep using my cheap allen wrench.

I use a small allen wrench on my pro carry II as well. Works everytime and I never thought of it as a hassle worth spending $30 bucks for a specialty tool.
