  • Aimpoint Comp ML2

Found what appears to be a good deal for an Aimpoint with accessories.
It's the Comp ML2, is that just as good ,or better than the Comp M2?

I shot an AR using an Aimpoint similar to the one posted at Larue range day. I will agree with you, they are nice. I wonder what the difference is between the Comp M2 and Comp ML2.

It's a 1x right? What's the longest range you have shot using your Aimpoint?

I think about 200 yards, but I was just funning there. I wouldn't expect anything that could be called a, "group," from a reflex sight. They're for fast target acquisition, and that's about it. The opinions seem to run towards Eotechs being more durable, but I'm not going into combat, ever, so my Aimpoint works great for me. It's going to come down to personal preference, though. Some people like one sight picture better than the other. My advice is to try several.

The 65MOA ring on the EOtechs help me get on target much quicker than I can with a just the 1MOA dot in the Aimpoints. For bench shooting the single dot is nice...but off hand I prefer an HWS.

The main differences are that the ML2 is not NVD (Night Vision Device) compatible and it has 9 brightness settings versus 6 on the M2.

SWFA has a great deal on the M2 with a mount, flip up covers and kill flash for about 400$.
